Is the newsletter really free?
Yes. The weekly Bitcoin sentiment report is free of charge. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
When is the report published?
Every Sunday at 10 pm CET. All past issues since 2018 are available in the report archive.
Who takes part in the survey?
Around 5,900 private and institutional investors take part in the weekly sentix Global Investor Survey. Participation is free and takes about 3–5 minutes a week.
How is the sentiment index calculated?
Participants say whether they expect Bitcoin to rise, fall or move sideways. The index is the share of optimists minus the share of pessimists – separately for a one-month (Sentiment) and a six-month horizon (Strategic Bias).
What is the difference between newsletter and survey participation?
The newsletter gives you the weekly Bitcoin report. As a survey participant you additionally receive sentix research on equities, bonds, currencies and commodities and get access to more than 1,000 indicators.
Is this investment advice?
No. sentix publishes research on investor sentiment. It is not a recommendation to buy or sell any asset.
How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click is enough.
Which indicators does sentix publish for crypto?
Five indicators: Bitcoin Sentiment (1 month), Strategic Bias (6 months), Time Differential, Overconfidence Index and the Crypto Asset Class Sentiment.
Since when does sentix measure crypto sentiment?
The Crypto Asset Class Sentiment has been surveyed monthly since December 2013. The weekly Bitcoin Sentiment and Strategic Bias are available since 2017.
Why is sentiment read against the crowd?
When almost everyone already expects rising prices, few buyers are left. That is why extreme readings of the short-term Sentiment are usually interpreted in a contrarian way. The Strategic Bias, in contrast, is read as a directional indicator.
Can I use sentix data commercially?
Access to the indicators is free for private, non-commercial use. For professional data access please visit sentix.de or contact support@sentix.de.
